In the Community
Lawrence has a long history of supporting local sporting clubs and fundraising for worthy causes.
This stems from the belief that living a healthy, happy and fulfilled life begins with giving back.
The team at Lawrence call Perth home. Active in the community, we are involved in conservation, sport and local events. It’s common to find us on the waterways at the weekends, in the park with the kids or at the footy ground cheering on the local team.
The culture of caring professionals is embedded in our values and we are advocates for an active healthy lifestyle, promoting this for our staff and the wider community. Lawrence are proud supporters of these local clubs:
- Bedford Morley Cricket Club
- East Fremantle Yacht Club
- East Fremantle Cricket Club
- Fremantle CBC Football Club
- Melville Waterpolo Club
- Royal Fremantle Golf Club
- Fremantle CBC ‘All Abilities’ teams
- East Fremantle ‘All Abilities’ Auskick
- Bicton Attadale Cricket Club
More than Cake…Morning Tea Raises $500 for Toddler with Cerebral Palsy
The entire Lawrence team raised $500 by bringing in delicious morning tea treats and then donated money to enjoy devouring them! The $500 raised on this occasion went to an African family in Perth that have a 2-year-old girl with Cerebral Palsy. The White Zebra Foundation was raising funds for the medical costs, including therapy and equipment to help this family.
Lawrence Partners Take the Plunge to Raise
$22,000!
Nine members of the Lawrence team, led by our own daredevil Brent Fairhead, took the plunge from the rooftop of QV1, one of Perth’s tallest buildings, to raise money for Princess Margaret Hospital. They had enormous support, raising $22,000 for the hospital.
Lawrence staff members have a long history of fundraising and community support – and being parents themselves, they have a strong affinity for the tireless work undertaken by the staff at PMH.
In fact, Brent has been touched personally by 2 recent tragedies. His close mate lost his first child to a tumour, then a year later his cousin lost her first child, Brodie, after a month-long battle for life at PMH. He remembers the exceptional care and support from the staff and the Lawrence team are determined to help PMH continue to make a difference to other families during these devastating times.
We’ve always Enjoyed a Good Party & Now the Special Children of Perth Can Too!
With the sponsorship from Lawrence, children from around Perth come together for an unforgettable experience each year at the Perth Special Children's Christmas Party.
Last year 3000 children who were living with disabilities, life threatening illness, domestic violence or in impoverished homes, came together for a day filled with fun and laughter.
The team at Lawrence have been sponsoring this event for many years, and take great pride in playing their part in putting a smile on the faces of Perth’s special children.

Brent Helps All Ability Footy Players Enjoy their Dream Trip
Footy plays a big part in life at Lawrence, with job offers even being made at the local footy club! It’s a sport close to the hearts of our team, and we’re keen to help young people who have overcome personal and physical challenges get a fair-go.
The staff admire the strong culture at the Fremantle CBC Football Club, who founded the All Abilities competition so players of all levels can enjoy crossing the white line and competing. They now have 2 all-abilities football teams and travel interstate every second year to grow the experience for the players. Brent had the pleasure of meeting the 7 players who were selected to represent WA at the National Inclusion Carnival on the Gold Coast.
Their story struck a chord with us – as these lads had to pay their own way and are all on disability pensions – so had no spending money for the trip. We donated $150 to each of the 7 players so they could join in with the other competitors in attending some theme parks while they were there.
